2017 Favorites

I am a passionate consumer & critic of movies, music, and books. I listen to about 7 hours of music a day, watch 3-5 movies every weekend, often with my family, and read approximately 1,000 pages of print per month.

The music is my mental engine through the workday; I rely on a blend of familiar and new in an ever-expanding tree. This year was a continuation of my delving into deep Delta blues from my 2016 trip down the Mississippi + country roots from this year’s trip to Asheville & Nashville.

Movies are mostly old favorites or old should-have-seen-by-now. My m.o. right now is to enlighten my children as much as possible while they still believe me.

The books are mostly about music or movies, or history.
